Verizon wants to build a 125' monopole cellular communications tower in the middle of English Estates residential subdivision. The area is residential and these towers belong in industrial or other zoning areas. There are many towers within a one to two mile radius that Verizon could use without erecting a new tower. In addition, Verizon is constructing the tower to accommodate three additional providers. This will be a tall, silver eyesore to the community.
There are numerous articles citing lower home values due to living next to a cellular tower. In addition, there are possible health concerns due to radiation. Furthermore, damage from a hurricane could send the tower parts flying in a residential area, or collapse could kill.
There is no reason for Verizon to be building a tower in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Please sign if you are against the tower being built in our backyards.

Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall today to show them the community is united against this eyesore. Email your local representative now to demand they block the permit for this construction.

The momentum behind this fight proves that our neighborhood refuses to be ignored by these companies. Now is the time to turn this energy into action. Email your local representatives today and tell them we will not accept a tower in our backyards.

We don't need you lowering our property values and damaging our health to increase your profitability.
Keep the cell tower out of residential areas. Homeowners will suffer as it will limit the buyers interested in homes in the neighborhood and reduce their value.
There are plenty of commercial areas with towers in them already that this can be relocated to.... No one needs an ugly huge tower in their neighborhood!!
Please do not add another eyesore in our community! Please use common sense & place in a commercial location, not next to our homes.
I am a resident of the English States community and oppose to the removal of the water tower and installation of a cell tower. When the community residents bought their homes, like I did, we chose a neighborhood that had the characteristic of a small town encrusted in an urban area. Changing this for the sake of gathering morentax dollars is an imposing and undesirable action. Please do not install a cell tower in our community.

There are plenty of nearby commercial areas on 17-92 for this tower. Place it there and not in the middle of a peaceful residential area.
