WE THE UNDERSIGNED people of Rhode Island strongly oppose widespread government and corporate spying on our private personal phone calls, emails, texts, data, and Internet activity. This surveillance of everyone, all the time, is un-­‐American. It destroys our privacy and tramples the Fourth Amendment’s search and seizure protections. Our rights are in danger. We must act now. AS A FIRST STEP, we call on the R.I. congressional delegation to immediately sponsor laws rolling back the power of government and business to spy on us electronically, through tracking or recording our phone calls, emails, texts, and data.
