Petition Summary: Jack Lingo Assest Management Company is seeking approval from the Sussex County officials to change the zoning of a 162 acre property near Cedar Grove Road and Ward Road in Lewes to allow construction of the Love Creek RV Resort and Campground. The proposed development calls for building 451 sites for recreational vehicles, 149 sites for rental cabins and 20 more for tents, and will be open from March to November. The plans for the property also detail extensive amenities including an amphitheater, clubhouse, dock bar, swimming pools, laundry center, general store, paddle boat launches, pumping station and RV storage.

But many people have raised serious concerns related to the scope and impact of the proposed development. They fear the project will result in dangerous road conditions, increased pollution, excessive noise, environmental damage and decrease property values for current tax-paying homeowners. They've concluded that the development is inconsistent with the surrounding communities, would irreparably harm the natural environment and is unfair to local residents.

Action Petitioned For: We the undersigned are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now and vote Against amending the comprehensive Zoning Map (C/Z# 1725) and Against granting a Conditional Use of Land for an RV Campground (C/U #1951) as requested by Jack Lingo Asset Management for the Love Creek RV and Resort Campground site.
