I just lost my aunt, 37 years old, because of a clinic like rightway. She was a struggling addict for years . She was not told what could happen if she took this medicine with certian ones she had in her system, just that it would help her get off of it. That first and final dose killed her and left her two teenage kids without their mother in one of the hardest times in their life! I want this place OUT of my town!

Should not open this type of medical practice in this type of area. My child plays in this neighborhood.

Why would we give addicts, drugs to fix their addiction?! No sense! Not to mention it's right by a school and several churches.

Put it by the hospital. Not in a residential neighborhood. We pay a lot of money to live in a safe neighborhood. That will bring addicts closer to our homes.

This would be less than a mile away from my son's school. This is the LAST thing we need in this town. It's sad that this is advertised as something that would "help addicts" to wean them off of drugs they are addicted to. But in reality, it's all about money. Put a business like this, where it is LEGAL to be injected with drugs, in the middle of a town known throughout the state as the "meth capital," and people will show up. What is wrong with this town that we can get a meth clinic, but can't put crosses on our stop signs because "not everyone believes that way?"

Sorry, I meant samhsa.gov on that last comment. No other medication has been more reaearched by the Federal gov than methadone. TONS of information! Methadone clinics are treating the worst drug problem in our country right now. Burying our heads in the sand won't make our communities safer!

Clearly everyone commenting hasn't read any real information on methadone, suboxone or opiate dependence in general. Try samhsa.com or odmhsas.org and read the FACTS. Communities are made SAFER because of these clinics! Crime rates go down, families are held together, lives are stabilized. You give opiate addicts these medications along with counseling because there is NO harder addiction to break than opiates. These people need our help not our criticism. This petition isn't helping anyone.
