After opening recently, the PUBLIC Splash Pad at St. Julien Public Park and Sports Complex has been closed to the public due to "private parties" and no mention was made on their Facebook page or website to notify citizens of the community! Many families arrived to spend the day with their family to find locked gates and a sign saying closed for private party! A public park should be open to the public for their enjoyment! I am petitioning to stop the booking of private parties that results in denied access to the public!! I will be sending this to the park staff, the Broussard Chamber of Commerce, and Broussard Parks & Recreation to start!
