Petersburg Mayor Phil Bolander has made the executive decision to close Petersburg Town Hall to area residents for the use of such events as birthday parties, wedding showers, baby showers ETC ETC
This building has been available to area residents for these purposes for well over 40 years.
By signing this petition you are DEMANDING Mayor Bolander to:
1. Reopen Town Hall for such activities
2. In the event he refuses, you are DEMANDING his IMMEDIATE resignation (Bolander's term expires in September 2016)
3. In the event Bolander refuses to resign, you DEMAND the Board of Alderman remove him from office effective IMMEDIATELY.
It is time to stand up to tyrannical officials and take back YOUR community and YOUR Town Hall!

Seeing the momentum behind this push is heavy because it proves how many of us feel shut out of our own town hall. It is exhausting to fight for access to a space that belonged to us all along but I am not walking away from this.

Who pays the bills, (utilities, insurance, supplies, and everything else that gets paid ) we do tax payers!!!! So how does he have the right to close it to US ?and the rest of the board members need to take a stand for us !!
Randy Davis. The Petersburg class of 1975 really enjoyed our 4oth reunion at the Town Hall. I remember a couple of family gathering there also. Why not have a place for old memories to be relived and new memories made, as life is celebrated?
Actions such as this bring to mind some very bad memories. My question is what are the Board and Aldermen doing about this man's actions. He answers to THEM and doesn't even have a VOTE unless there is a tie. Can August get here soon enough?

Bolander does need to be stopped. His lies have gone too far!
Bolander seems to do what he wants to do and needs to be stopped.
Wouldn't renting it for events bring in much needed revenue?

We had a baby shower there for our grandson.... It was a wonderful place to use and we have bragged on our small town Petersburg to everyone we know...we need positive things happening in our town...we need to lift up not bring down... Just saying
