For the last 2 months there has been a nightly barrage of illegal fireworks creating a war zone like feel in Park Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods in Denver, CO. It’s keeping people awake, stressing out and frightening pets, causing issues for PTSD patients, and generally disturbing the peace of our neighborhoods. We have called the Denver Police Departments fireworks complaint lines over and over and have seen no effort by the Denver Police to address this issue. We are sick and tired of the nightly constant large fireworks disturbing our lives and are calling on the Denver Police Department to tackle this issue now! If the police did an evening drive-by on Uintah between 17th and 19th, we've got a neighbor that has been shooting off loud aerial fireworks every night. We've called the police every night to only have this continue

This is a fire risk, scares people and animals, disturbs sleep, is disruptive to the neighborhood, interferes with public safety - police being able to sense and respond to gunfire (or even get reports of it), and more. Please enforce this law.

I've had pets and friends absolutely terrified of the fireworks situation here. I regularly find burned fireworks in my gutters and yard. 15 year Whittier resident and it's just got to stop.

Every year the fireworks seem to get louder, the season gets longer, and they go later in the evening. Please help put an end to the fireworks madness for the sake of early risers, parents of young kids, skittish dog owners, and most importantly our military vets who may have PTSD!

My dog is terrified of fireworks. She huddles under my bed shaking. Sometimes her digestive track stops working due to the noise of the illegal fireworks and I have to take her in to get it restarted. It costs $500-$800 each time.

Yesterday was tough. Started around 230 pm and went all the way till I went to bed. Returned from the mountains where it was peaceful to a neighborhood that sounded like a war zone.
