Reflections Holiday Parks finally backed down and agreed to freeze our rates while committing to the repairs we demanded. We forced these corporate suits to listen because we refused to let them ignore the rot in our park. Keep watching them closely to ensure they actually do the work they …

Reflections Holiday Parks continue to increase Mookerawa Dam rates for site owners, while neglecting their basic upkeep of the park. By signing this petition, you are showing your support for preserving last year's rates, as well as urging Reflections Holiday Parks to honour their maintenance of the park.

Site holder concerns include:

  • Disrepair of roads
  • Spur 2 is without a septic
  • Water tanks providing filtered water are not sufficient for number of sites
  • Destruction of site gardens by over-population of wild animals
  • Limited maintenance staff
  • Non-site holders have boat sheds, preventing site holders from being able to access them

Updates

February 18, 2019

Reflections Holiday Parks thinks they can keep grabbing our money while our roads crumble and our septic systems rot. Their silence is a blatant insult and we refuse to let them ignore these conditions any longer.

February 18, 2019

Reflections Holiday Parks cannot ignore this wave of outrage any longer because this momentum proves just how many of us are fed up with their blatant neglect. They have been pocketing our money while the park falls apart and now they finally have to face the people they have been ripping off.

1. We do not agree with another rate rise unless we are given an assurance that it will be put towards maintenance at Mookerawa. 2. The Park is untidy and in need of repairs especially the roads and water. 3. There is a distinct lack of water for all sites. 4. We believe the local staff do the best job they can with the budget obviously given. 5. We have lots of visitors to our site who all pay their camping fees and have no issue with this as the money is going back to Mookerawa.

It's certainly disappointing that such a fantastic park does not get the attention and support it deserves to maintain the current facilities and also to add to these facilities. Who allocates the funding and decides which of the 36 Reflection Holiday Parks get what facilities and upgrades? We need our fair share and unfortunately this is not the case.

I agree with all of the attached comments. We all take pride in our sites and it is disappointing when we go up there and our plants have been destroyed by wildlife and our sprinklers have been turned off. The lawns have gone by the wayside compared to a couple of years ago when we were able to keep the water up to them. I have filters on my site and I still have to regularly clean them. I wouldn't drink the so called potable water supplied.

I would like to thanks current site staff for the great job they do with the constraints placed by management. Many of the site holders are long term residents who have invested a great deal of personal time and funds to develop what is a wonderful family oriented place to be. I also agree with the petition statements and would like to add that reduction is services an lack of maintenance along with no visable or published plans for the future do not inspire confidence or support an increase in rates. Thanks Michael Bennett

This latest increase in fees is a complete insult. We have no septic access and the roads are an absolute shambles. I would like a list of expenditures the park has used our fees for. I have asked the park for this with no response.

We have been site holders for many years and have been waiting for a boat shed, while NON site holders have them I feel that this is very unfair. our roads on spur 2 are rubbish, we still dont have the septic, our plants have all been ruined due to the goats and kangaroos, too much water gets released to the wetlands, the kiosk is too far from the sites. I could go on forever.
