Silver Grove School may be the smallest school district in Kentucky, but that does not give the new school board the right to open a possible merge with Campbell County School.
I attended the school board meeting this month and I was shocked there is so much room to grow as a school and a community. With 210 students, from preschool through 12th grade, the numbers grow each year. From what I have heard small is better for most children not only in academics, but athletics as well no one gets cut!
Form what I have seen and heard at the board meeting its only about money that matters: the tax money!
I personally feel the school board should only be only open to current and past parents or past alumni. They are in the school. They have been through the rough patches and knows what needs to be changed.
Please sign this petition to keep Silver Grove School open and grow with the community and not cave to the merge where the children's voices will be lost among the hundreds and hundreds of kids that go to the county schools

The latest board meeting left me exhausted but confirmed that we are fighting the right battle for our students. I have been spending my nights reviewing the budget documents they refuse to explain properly while the silence from the decision makers grows heavier by the day.

Seeing this much support is heavy because it proves how many people truly care about what happens to our kids. My back aches and the board meetings are exhausting but I am not walking away from this fight.

The reason we moved to Silver Grove is the small school and the small classes. We have been here 3 years now and my oldest daughters grades have improved Immensely from Newport. I think they have a lot to offer just because of their size.
the best school that I have ever been to... It's not just a school everyone there is family. How many schools can say that teachers are able to watch there students grow completely from preschool all the way to the day they graduate from school.... Why take that away from a small town?
why get rid of a school that give children the opportunity of having one On ones. In a big high school the teachers can’t focus on the kids separately bc there’s to many. Silver grove is the best school iv ever attended
My parents went to Silver Grove Independence and I went there and my children love it there as well. Our town is small and The school is the only thing going for our little town. Take it away and there is no Silver Grove. It is the heart of the town, take it away and our town is dead!!! Thank u
We don't want the merge! Money should not be the number one issue regarding our children's education. My kids have thrived at Silver Grove schools and I am a PROUD BIG TRAIN alumni!!!
I would love for this school to stay open because my nephews go to this school and they love it and thy do good with smaller classes.
Please keep the school open for my grandchildren

This is my son's school he is only 6 years old the merge would cause him to have to get up extremely early for a 6 year old and take nearly an hour bus ride to the elementary school. As much as I like the idea of him attending a bigger school I don't like the idea of putting him through extra strain and cutting his muxh needed sleep by over an hour.
