Stop merge Campbell County School and KEEP SILVER GROVE TRAINS!

I would love for this school to stay open because my nephews go to this school and they love it and thy do good with smaller classes.

Please keep the school open for my grandchildren

Please remember these are our children, and we know what's best for them. If I wanted my daughter to go to Campbell county (with 5000 other students) I would have sent her there. Clearly the current school board weren't up front with there actions when they ran for election. And I honestly think they are under the impression they won't have to pay any school tax if they close the school down. Just my 2 cents

Our kids deserve to stay where they are. If I wanted her in Campbell county, she'd already be there!!! What gives you the right to make decisions for MY child?!

My children have been in both silver grove and Campbell County schools I like different things of both schools I do believe silver Grove has had a bullying problem w the same children over and over and there’s one teacher I can’t stand there however I grew up there I like the small class sizes my older children are doing well there my son has learning disability’s and a neurological disorder and he plays basketball and feels accepted my other daughter have made friendships that I would hate her to loose my younger boys probably would do better in county but do well at sg and my other daughter she’s had bullying problems at sg by the same kid that I think needs to be worked on but she has very high anxiety and being a big school I know is going to overwhelm her I don’t want the merge to happen after thinking of both sides of everything silver Grove is small everyone knows everyone they may need things to be worked on but every school does keep silver Grove open there are a lot of students that need this school I know taxes seem to be the issue but that should not be the reason for closing I only like one person on the new board none of them have children in the school some never had kids in school or any ties to the community please keep it open

This is my son's school he is only 6 years old the merge would cause him to have to get up extremely early for a 6 year old and take nearly an hour bus ride to the elementary school. As much as I like the idea of him attending a bigger school I don't like the idea of putting him through extra strain and cutting his muxh needed sleep by over an hour.

Small school are needed and work!

The reason we moved to Silver Grove is the small school and the small classes. We have been here 3 years now and my oldest daughters grades have improved Immensely from Newport. I think they have a lot to offer just because of their size.

My kids love their teachers and it shows. My kids excel academically and socially. I fear they will get lost in a large school system. The interactions I have had with the teachers have always been positive, even when discussing a negative situation. And I love it when I have a teacher tell me they cant wait to have another of my children in their class. The small school is a family.

This issue hits extremely close to home. My children will be 5th generation graduates. My great great Grandfather, Albert Willard, who was the Judge of Silver Grove, fought to keep the school from consolidating when other schools such as Alexandria & Grants Lick High School were merging into Campbell County High School. Thanks to his efforts I am alive today. My Great Grandmother Maxine Willard Remley graduated top of her class, with 5 classmates and skipped a grade. She was the post master for our town for decades. My Great Grandfather Charley Remley served on the School Board and helped build expansions to the school. Maxine and Charley met in Silver Grove. My Grandfather Albert Allen Remley graduated, also served on the school board and helped build expansions to the building. My Dad graduated from Silver Grove. My sister was able to graduate because of Silver Grove. My Dad had spidel meningitis when he was 6 years old. The only reason why he survived was because my Great Grandfather was in close proximity of the school and was able to rush him to the hospital quickly when he was unconscious due to a extreme high fever. The hospital said that if he would of made it 10 minutes later my Dad would of died. My Dad did not do well in school academically after recovering from almost dieing, but SGS gave him avenues to still be successful and taught him an awesome work ethic. Why our community lacks support of our local youth is beyond anything I can fathom. You go to Augusta or Dayton and see outstanding community support. Yet it’s well-known by our own city council, elected officials, newly elected school board members and other community members (who no longer have children who attend SGS) that they no longer support our local children or school. My children are thriving and doing extremely well at Silver Grove. My oldest skipped a grade, benchmarked in all areas of CERTS testing, and got a 21 on her ACT as an 8th grader. My 4th grader earned proficients on her state

I love this school and the staff! My daughter loves it as well! I also am a alumni and want this school to stay.

This school is absolutely amazing. Until you go in and see the staff and student interact please don’t act like you know what your talking about.

I love this school and the teachers and workers in it. They do so much to help the student's and parent's I don't know what I would have done without them last year and this year so helpful!!! Big school's isn't for everyone keep the big trains going some student's need the smaller classes and the one on one attention they need!!!

Keep school open. Why change a good thing. This school is like family to these kids they all love Silver Grove.
