On approximately 6+ acres there is a proposed massive truck stop to include:
- 37 semi-truck parking spaces
- A truck scale
- 48 vehicle parking spaces
- 10 diesel pump stations
- 6 gas pump stations
- 10 EV charging stations
- A two-story convenience store
- A drive-through restaurant
- Future hydrogen stations
This petition is to STOP this proposed project. Our concerns are that a mega truck stop can significantly impact safety, traffic, noise, pollution, loitering, property values and neighborhood character.

I have a business on Old Highway 395 and traffic is thick on this 2 lane road. There really just is not enough room for semis to be able to pull out onto 395 without clogging traffic.
This project is not needed, desired by the community and absolutely does not meet the design guidelines of the Bonsall Community Plan. Build these along freeways - not in residential areas where we all enjoy the serenity of nature, equestrian trails, parks and community.
This will make traffic on 395 too dangerous with slow moving trucks entering this area. It is used by many as a safer alternative to I15 but that will be severely altered with a major hub like this moving in to the area. There is already a gas station and large parking area on I15 and 76 to service this need.
West Lilac has too many homes, businesses and schools without adding more vehicles to this two lane road. In fire emergencies ( which we have almost every year now) it will be a nightmare to get people out safely.
Unless this truck stop comes with free earplugs, a lifetime supply of Febreze, and traffic fairies to clear my commute, I’m gonna have to pass. I signed because I prefer my coffee without diesel fumes and my nights without the soothing lullaby of air brakes. Save the neighborhood, not the 24-hour hot dog roller.

This is a very dangerous spot for a truck stop like the one planned. It will end up causing serious accidents (at the ramp off s/b I-15) and slow traffic that will have to follow trucks as they pull out of the truck stop and head north up a steep grade to the nearby freeway ramps.
