Stop Lennar Homes from razing green spaces for their development of 178 homes.

Tell Tampa City Council that we say NO to Lennar Homes.

Traffic is already crippling. Schools are already overflowing. And street flooding is already a problem.

The geographical limitations of this community simply cannot support any more development. We are being put in harm's way.

Sign this petition that will be presented at the 2nd public hearing in front of City Council currently scheduled for Aug 3 at 9:30am. Join the fight at City Council that day at 315 E Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33602.

I spent the entire morning walking the neighborhood and looking at the drainage spots that will surely flood if this construction proceeds. The worry on the faces of my neighbors is exactly why I started this and it pushes me to keep fighting for our streets.

July 24, 2017

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight has been lifted because it proves our neighbors refuse to let our green space disappear. My family has lived here for years and watching the council finally take notice of our fight brings me so much relief.

Flooding is a huge problem in our area and we need the marsh and green spaces for drainage and adding these homes will cause great harm to the existing community. Please say no to this Lennar's request to develop in this area!

The roadways are already parking lots during business hours, traffic backs up for miles, and as a law enforcement officer as well, it concerns me for the safety of our citizens. Response times for emergencies will be delayed even greater than they already are and the roadways cannot handle anymore congestion.

Flooding, schools, and roads/traffic issues must be resolved PRIOR to adding 178 new homes/families. The elementary school is over capacity, and the homes they're building are only attractive to families with school age children....the city must act before they can allow additional issues brought by this development. It's irresponsible otherwise....

We do not need to develop every last inch of land just because it's there, especially when the current infrastructure simply cannot support the growth. Allowing these homes to be built would directly put me and my family at risk, and I will not support development that disregards the safety and well-being of the community.

Council members, The city needs to improve our infrastructure before more developments. Im not against Lennar building IF our small community roads and stormwater could support it. What are you doing with Lennars impact fees to help improve this? You are putting the cart before the horse.

If Lennar Homes is allowed to develop this property we will have lost another part of the green space we have left in Port Tampa City. This is a beautiful pristine area and should be left as it is now. The traffic will also get even worse on the very travelled street I live on. I purchased my forever home in 2011.

Please stop the building. The safety and we'll bring of current residents have already been comprised. Traffic is already a mess, why make the area a safety hazard?? STOP BUILDING!

Fix drainage and add road capacity... ONLY THEN you can add development.
