This is a beautiful, tight knit community where everyone helps each other. The council want to Demolish our homes and add more house/flats to our small rd,
We believe that it is a financial reason they want to do this as in the area we reside in, the price of properties are above the national average. and private funding will be needed ,Some people have lived here with their families for over 50 years, there is a mix of council and owner occupier homes and they don't want to be forced to sell or move.
Therefore for the good of our community and our neighbors to preserve the quality of life of this community and future generations we call upon you to join our movement with TGBRRA to prevent the demolition of our homes and community.

We are approaching the 250 signature threshold required for a formal inquiry with the council cabinet. I am currently finalizing a briefing paper for the planning department and reaching this milestone by tomorrow will provide the leverage needed to secure a hearing date.

I believe refurbishment is needed, not more homes. The area already has too many cars, the schools are well over subscribed and there are not enough services to house extra people. It would overcrowd the area which is a friendly, social, caring community at present.
We had to leave our lovely house in the High Road because they wanted it demolished, they turned it into a petrol station, now it's a Spurs Shop. Still feel angry about it to this day. Please don't demolish anymore homes
House and rental property prices are very high in this area and the only people able to live here are high earners . This situation can only lead to social cleansing and I want my children to live in an area that reflects London's cultural and social Diversity
How can this be allowed? My Great Auntie & Uncle have lived in their home for over 50 years. Now in their 80's a move like this would affect them enormously why should they have to 'start again' so the council can make money?
We cannot demolish a community, demolishing homes. The only reason to do this is for someones financial gain for a private investor - at the consequence of our community. The value of neighbouring properties will also fall if this was done.
No one should be moved from there homes for the rich to move into
i am signing this because i feel strongly against things like this and understand how important communities are. i am also looking for Modembo Tshiobi, who i can see has also signed this petition. i found his bag in clerkenwell and would like to get it back to him. please pass this message on to him or anyone that might know him. These are homes and a community of people, not a housing project on a spreadsheet. The council should listen to the people who actually live here and not impose something on them that they don't want.
