We are against the proposed zoning change that would allow Encore Riverside RV Resort to develop 300 acres of pastureland and wetlands into 330 RV sites and 506 Manufactured home sites. Our concerns include wildlife and environmental harm, water run off to adjacent properties, additional fire, police, medical, trash removal services, assumed road improvements to accommodate the increased volume to an already overwhelmed road and future tax rate increases to pay for all of these issues. Please consider all of these issues and deny the request for zoning modification.

The research into the environmental impact of this expansion is consuming every evening I have left after work. I am tired of fighting this alone while the developers keep moving forward in the dark. We are staying in this fight because losing this land to pavement is not an option.

Seeing this kind of momentum is exhausting but it proves that so many of you see the same destruction of our land that I do. We have hit a point where they can no longer pretend we are not watching them. I am tired of fighting this fight but I am not stopping now.

Arcadia is very quickly losing the small-town status. All of this building is helping very few people It mostly helps the people who are well off as well as transplants from hi tax/hi spend states. These developments are mostly beyond the working poor in price. And is mostly going to force the rest of us to pay more taxes. Not good for the sixth poorest county in the state.
We are quickly running out of land here in Florida. It is imperative we preserve what little we have left. To add that many more spots in an area that was completely flooded during Ian is negligence.
Between the bad traffic the wildlife and stormwater run off I don't know how this is going to be good for any of the people who have been affected by flooding and the traffic and seeing how many endangered animals are being treated and pushed out of their own areas. I don't think enough studies have been done to control all of these issues!
I live on SW Welch Ave. We already have concerns about the traffic on King’s Highway and allowing this expansion will exacerbate the issue. Moreover, we would like to keep our quiet and secluded neighborhood just that, quiet and secluded.
This area sits nearly entirely within a flood hazard area. Development in this area will put additional strain on storm water as well as our transportation infrastructure, which is already beyond capacity.
This project will be a total nightmare on many levels for our local community. I highly oppose this development. Hopefully WE the little guy will win this battle.

Kings Hwy needs to be a 4 lane before this is allowed, it is already a death trap and their so called berms are ridiculous, period! Make them widen the roads first!
