I think it would have significantly more cons than pros and we're already got too many people in this town for the schools and doctors to deal with, I think money would be better spent on many other things and if you try to build houses they will 100% flood in poor weather. The field becomes a flood plain for the animals that live there and destroying that would effect their ecosystem.

This will have a significantly negative impact on the town, which is already overrun with high levels of commuter traffic. There aren’t enough schools, DRs surgeries, jobs or opportunities in the town and the flow of traffic to Shrewsbury and Telford in the morning is already horrendous. The risk of flooding on that road is diabolical. No more housing developments, especially in this area!

I agree with the above comments, the doctors and schools are full, we need to resolve the ongoing traffic management problems before we add any further commuter traffic. Last summer the council held a traffic consultation in the town due to the problems we have, as far as I know, nothing has come from that consultation, why are we considering adding yet more traffic, until the existing situation has been resolved?

The infrastructure is lacking in Wem already. It takes 4 weeks for me to see a doctor. The school is full to capacity. We can not afford to put any more strain on our lacking resources. :(

The amount of times that lorries or tractors have to mount the footpath just so that another vehicle can pass is incredible and yet they want to make the road even more busier and that is just the tip of the iceberg,

This development will be disastrous for an already busy, flood risk, narrow road! Tractors, lorries & cars already abuse the 30mph speed limit, the flooding is horrendous and the level of traffic that it would create including a bus route would turn the outskirts of this area into a busy, commuting traffic road. There are not enough infrastructure, schools, DRs surgeries and jobs to accommodate any further development in the town!

I agree with the comments already made. The town's infrastructure is already at breaking point. and there are already a number of empty properties in the town.. Until there are more doctors, bigger schools andbetter social facilitiesall building in Wem should be stopped.
