The emails I am receiving from neighbors show just how frustrated everyone is with these restrictions. We are currently drafting a formal letter to the council to demand real answers.

We have experienced much less crime in our area since the gate went up 4 years ago. We allow people public access, it is more as a sanity check and to stop quick exits for would-be robbers.
If our government has resources to do this, then why don't we have resources to protect the communities, our community has breakins, if not attempts daily. These booms are too protect us citizens because the government cannot!
Our safety comes first
If the community pays put the closures up then why should it be an issue. DA we voted for you.

There are way more benefits in having a boom gate facility than not having one at all. Safety is paramount, why compromise it...?!!!

Boom gates are essential in certain areas. Crime has reduced in my area significantly since the installation of our boom. I sleep better at night. Without the boom I would definitely sell my property and move on. It's peace of mind
