We, the undersigned citizens of Tswaing in Ward 9 and 14, demands an URGENT comprehensive approach to the prevention of criminality combining an improved and immediate law enforcement action THAT MEETS THE SAPS MANDATE to provide safety and security to our people with long term socio-economic development and systemic reform by:
Increased Visible Policing. Adequate Resourcing. Evidence-Based Policing. Community Involvement. Addressing Root Causes e.g drug and substance abuse. Efficient Prosecution.
In essence WE AGREE, crime prevention involves a holistic strategy that addresses both the immediate need for a functional, uncorrupt police force and the long-term societal factors that drive individuals to crime.

We cant even walk to the shops anymore without looking over our shoulders. The police are never around when we need them and something has to change now.
