BankFirst Financial Services is closing their branch in Shuqualak, MS. As you probably know, Shuqualak is not quite what it used to be. It is very disheartening to us citizens. It seems as though we have to fight to keep (the few) places that are left open. Many people today don’t understand the importance of small towns in America. We’ve had to worry that the library, the post office, and now the bank are going to close. Our branch has been here since it was an M&F, 103 years ago.
