We the residents of Sedgemoor, and principally from Stockmoor, Wilstock and the surrounding area, call upon the officers and Councillors of Sedgemoor District Council (SDC) to hold off consenting any more development until a public review takes place comparing what was planned, marketed and has happened, and takes into consideration the evidence of the negative impact on the health and wellbeing of the people trying to live in these two rapidly growing communities.

Reaching this point in our campaign has been a long and draining road but seeing the growing consensus keeps me moving forward. It is clear that so many of you share the same frustration with how our communities are being overlooked.

We live on wilstock and there is only 1 little park at the other end of the estate, so it does get quite busy when the weather is good, we really need more areas for the children on these estates to be able to play and socialise which will stop them playing on the roads like they do now.

The roads need completing our car is getting damaged from high curbs onto our drive. The roads are congested by parks cars. The country park needs completing. We need better play areas for our children and walkways need to be safe to and from school - with the amount of building works going on at the moment walkways are not safe at all.

This development wasn't anywhere in sight when we bought our house in 2008. Stockmoor was advertised as a VILLAGE on Bridgwater outskirts. It's a moot point whether we would have gone ahead with the purchase if we realised there was going to be an hotel, and industrial estate looming over us

I was not made aware by Bloor's solicitors when buying my house in a wilstock last May that there would be this additional commercial development

I bought on the development in 2008. It was supposed to be finished in 7-8 years. There is no end in sight and initial promises of country parks, cycle lanes and decent roads have no been kept in timeframes promised. It seems all about profit and sod the people who live there.

The high speed of growth and slow delivery of supporting infrastructure along with changes to what was promised is unsustainable - please stop & review now - it's gone too far from the plan already

The infrastructure just isn't there to take any more traffic from these builds. It takes ages to travel from North petherton to Bridgwater at peak times let alone when holiday season is here. I don't even try going out at weekends then. You are ruining it for all the residents & surrounding areas.
