Speaking up for residents in Stockmoor & Wilstock - North Petherton

Can't take any more it's made me I'll my friends and family struggle to come and see me feel icolated

The infrastructure just isn't there to take any more traffic from these builds. It takes ages to travel from North petherton to Bridgwater at peak times let alone when holiday season is here. I don't even try going out at weekends then. You are ruining it for all the residents & surrounding areas.

Where is the cycle path from Wilstock to the shops in Stockmoor, promised by Bloor in 2012 by John Lusty. Why is their compound still where it is today, when in 2011 we purchased our home on the understanding it would be gone in twelve months, absolute liars, last year they even lied to the press, saying it would be gone by the end of october. Why should these cowboys be allowed to get away with lying to people desperate to buy a new home, and i believe the planning department are aiding and abetting them to carry on like this for reasons we are not privy to. I am a very disgruntled resident, thanks to all the lies and promises Bloor have drip fed us.

You promise us and pub on here for family and a play area for kids and all you want to do is build houses we dont want more houses stop building.

No more developments

I think it's disgusting the way the houses are going up with no reguard for the residents already there. The school isn't big enough for another influx not to mention the total disregard for health and safety the builders have when moving materials and waste from the various sites often dropping loads on the road and occasionally cars making it a serious accident waiting to happen both along the road and right next to the school and only a matter of time before a child gets injured by your cowboys.

We moved here over 4yrs ago promised country park access. Still waiting. Schools can 't cope with anymore children. Road in & out already congested

Roads bad , pavements by the school shocking you have to cross the road three times to end up on the same bit of pavement . Bus and lorrys block the road all the time total rubbish

Poor road system and visitor parking. Housing overdevelopment, lack of public transport and access across so called country park.

I'm all for the residential expansion but amenities, infrastructure and access need to expand in proportion and so far they are woefully lacking. I would say the top three concerns (specifically regarding Wilstock) would be; 1: Lack of a shop/pub/school. 2: Lack of off road parking/cycling lane, roads too narrow for emergency services to pass parked cars. 3: Internet speeds too slow, I'm concerned that we may lose speeds as traffic increases.

We need more infrastructure in place. Amenities. Better walkway to stockmoor from wilstock. Roads improved. Parking sorted with mor open parking areas. No ambulance or fire engine would pass through in areas . proper provision of phone lines and broad band. Community hall. On site Dr surgery for those unable to drive.

We moved because of the serounding fields for walking dogs etc , if they build on this they'll be nothing left ! Had enough already building on the entry road to wilstock ! It's a joke .

The road works around this village are so disruptive that myself and others I know, have had to change our mode of transportation in order to get to work and back on time eg no longer able to use the bus service because there is no guarantee of being able to return by the same method. I now pay three times as much to use the train which is less convenient; I now have a 30 min walk to and 30 min from the train every day and the non use of the bus service puts this rural area at risk of losing an "unused" bus service.

The roads around this area are horrendous, they've recently changed the crossing with no notice or signs it was so covered in dust and mud it was barely visible yesterday, I had to tell my partner it was there as he was driving! Accidents are just waiting to happen outside the school. And another petrol station!?!? Why? It's not needed!

Persimmon.."..there is an on-site primary school with on site shops and a public house. There is an open country park area near the development." Bloor: ".. a select new family oriented residential community situated on the edge of a new landscaped country park.: Sounds lovely? Rip off!!

Enough is enough. We are losing too many greenfields and the roads we have can't cope with the extra traffic.

You need to sort out road structure before anymore houses are built

We currently live with lots of issues including unfinished, unadopted roads, a lack of safe childrens play areas, despite them being included in the original plans, a 'country park' which has not been developed as promised, street signs lacking across both villages, the list goes on ... most seriously, the lack of adopted status for the roads in our villages means that speeding and parking 'offences' are not challenged as the police are powerless to act. The situation currently is dangerous and worrying, some roads are inaccessible to larger vehicles due to parked vehicles (such as fire engines or ambulances), a direct result of a lack of legal road markings. To develop further before the existing development is reviewed and completed (and safe) is both irresponsible and detrimental to the health and wellbeing of the people living in Stockmoor & Wilstock Villages, North Petherton (South Bridgwater).

Bridgwater Gateway will have a serious impact on not just Stockmoor and Wiltock but the residents of Noth Petheton as well. There has been no thought on traffic congestion it will cause during construction or use. With the modifications being done to the roundabout traffic regularly queues through North Petherton, what will it be like when B/water Gateway really kicks off. Improving the traffic flow on the roundabout is pointless because the roads that feed it can't take any more. The design of the buildings will just be a blot on the landscape. This should never have been passed at planning stage.

We live on wilstock and there is only 1 little park at the other end of the estate, so it does get quite busy when the weather is good, we really need more areas for the children on these estates to be able to play and socialise which will stop them playing on the roads like they do now.
