The undersigned from Thomasville and surrounding communities strongly support Southwestern State Hospital and its employees. We appreciate its medical and economic importance to the region. We expect Gov. Sonny Perdue and the Department of Human Resources to consider all options before closing this vital facility. Furthermore, we demand a complete accounting for their reasoning to close it and remind them that they are obligated to serve the entire state, not just Atlanta.
