We already have homeless people living at the flood wall next to the river. I can’t even sit on my porch anymore late at night to watch the deer due to their partying and screaming all night. In addition, there are backpackers walking our streets all night long and feel the need to use the most foul language they know. We bought this house 30 years ago as it was the nicest neighborhood around. I’d like for it to go back to that. There has to be somewhere else to put campers. Hatfield-McCoy campsites would be a better option.
Kids in the community play in the area along the flood wall. It is a community area and should not become someone’s camp site.
With the influx of foot traffic the abandoned home beside mine has already become an issue. I can’t imagine what issues campers will have.
I definitely feel they are better locations away from a neighborhood and children. I would not want it in my area or around my grandchildren.
Allowing these “temporary” permits will afford the owner of that property to permanently bring trailers into this neighborhood. This will kill property values and bring an unknown element into an otherwise quiet area. This is how politicians lose re-election bids!
We want to keep our neighborhood safe.
Our little community does not need this.

This is a bad idea and will make South Williamson intolerable to live in. I used to take my daughter to the little park to play at the flood wall, years ago. South Williamson used to be a great place to raise children. I feel bad for anyone raising small children in South Williamson right now . It’s not the safe place that it was. I see many backpackers roaming around in the dark at 5 and 6 am. This will only get worse if the trailers are placed here. There has to be a better place to put them, away from residential areas.
