We, the residents of the Westchester Subdivision of the city of Columbus Ohio, are determined to have our streets plowed this winter. The heavy snowfalls last winter created a number of unsafe and undriveable areas. We are asking the city to form a new plan to cover extreme snowfall conditions; so our streets can be cleaned in a timely manner.

The Westchester Subdivision Is bordered by Sullivant Ave on the north, Hall Rd. on the south, Galloway Rd. on the west and Norton Rd. on the east. There are over 600 private homes on approximately 12 miles of Columbus city streets. The few times we saw city street crews on our streets, it was days after the snowfall and the snow was hard packed on the streets and hard to plow. We understand that last year was unusual in the amount of snow events. The lack of street plowing caused many problems for drivers. Many drivers got stuck on the streets and needed help to move their cars. It is obvious the street department has put us near the bottom of any list of streets that need to be plowed. We believe that the city should change this so that we do not experience unsafe, undriveable conditions this year. We are asking that a new plan be developed and communicated to us before the first snowfall.
