The local skateboarders of Clayton North Carolina are constantly kicked out and harassed for skateboarding around the town. We have called parks and rec. many times and requested a spot or park were skaters can do as they please. we need a place to improve our skills without the worry of being stopped by the police or yelled at by the local business owner. In the town of clayton we have a community park in which we are only allowed to skate in the parking lot were we are forced to stop due to traffic. I have personally been to many small towns where there are inexpensive community skateparks in which the skateboarders are much more skilled because they have the means to learn these new skills. building a comunity skate spot in the town of clayton would not only keep skaters off of local proerty but help the skateboarders of clayton learn new skills and have fun with the untraditional sport of skateboarding.
