Onchan has free recreational activities for soccer and basketball players. Although skateboarders out number basketball players there are no free facilities that allow skateboarders to legally enjoy what they do. Every single day skateboarders venture into the streets and roads at night, risking trouble with the Police for skateboarding illegally. If a public skateboard park was constructed there would be a decrease in illegal skateboarding on private property or dangerous alternatives.
