PETITION/LETTER OF SUPPORT for

JEFFREY SIMMONS #319886

Let me start off by first saying my name is Phillip Simmons and I am the son of Jeffrey Simmons, an inmate at the Limestone Correctional Facility in Harvest, Al. Jeff Simmons has always supported both myself and my mother. I have organized this petition as a means of community support for the friends, family and loved ones of Jeffrey Simmons. I started this petition as a means to inform and ask support for my dad’s upcoming parole consideration in August of 2021. While my dad has been incarcerated he has had no disciplinary occurrences. We have work reports from my dad's supervisors that show him to be dependable and a hard worker which all of us will vouch for and say this is the kind of person that my dad is known to be. Those of us signing this letter of petition support want to try and let the parole board know that we support, love and encourage dad and are willing to stand behind him should he be released on parole. I have a safe home for my dad that I personally have been paying for over the last year. I personally took responsibility for this homestead when my mother passed away in June of 2020. While this petition and letter of support truly allows us to support my dad, I want to also let the parole board know that my dad has and will be connected to several churches upon his release. Our home church where my dad was baptized as well as the Catalyst Community Church in which my dad and I are connected to a prison outreach ministry. My dad is a good man and we all know that his plea deal should have never taken place. But dad has done his minimum amount of time. Please take each one of these signatures as a request of support for my dad’s release. I can promise you that each of us will gladly stand with my dad and support my dad.

With Regards,

PHILLIP WESLEY SIMMONS

I am gathering all these signatures to present to the parole board as proof that my father has a strong community waiting for him. Email your local representatives now and tell them that work reports and a stable home are enough to justify a fair hearing. Keep pushing until they acknowledge the support behind this case.

The momentum behind this petition proves that my dad has a community ready to welcome him home. Post this link on your Facebook page right now and email our local representatives to demand they hear our message.

I firmly believe that Jeff has served more than the time due to him and that he will be an asset to the community and his family when he is allowed to assimilate back to real life.

I have known Jeff and Tiffany for a long time. He is a Christian Man who loves his family and friends. He has always available for those who needed help in any way. I believe that he should be released back to his loving family and allowed to rebuild the trust of his community. Again, please consider Jeff for parole. Thank you, Lawanda Smith.

I’ve known Jeff for many years and feel he was done wrong by the criminal justice system. When he’s released, he will be NO PROBLEM to anyone - I’m fully confident of that. If I can be of any assistance or help his release in any way, I’m available. 256-441-4644. Thank you.

Though I have never met Jeff Simmons, I have heard very many positive things about him, especially his part in the prison ministry . I also believe I would trust this man with my life, and deserves to be released to be with his family and friends who love and support him. (and have since the beginning. )
