Final supporters
The residents of Amenia, Wassaic and surrounding towns have waited long enough.
- Do you want access to better jobs?
- Do you want a bigger customer base for your local businesses?
- Do you want additional revenue to support our schools?
- Don’t you want to ensure your family’s futures?
- Do you want support for our local fire district, EMS, and law enforcement?
- Do you want better parks and recreation facilities for our children?
- Do you want to improve our roads and infrastructure through funding to our highway department?
- DON’T YOU WANT TO HOLD THE LINE ON TAXES?
The Silo Ridge project has gone through years of environmental and planning reviews in order to get to a place where it can finally get started and Amenia residents can finally start to see the benefits. Now, after receiving all of its approvals from the town, a small group of outsiders is trying to stop it by filing meritless lawsuits against the project.
We, the residents of Amenia who live here, work here, shop here, own businesses here and have children in the local schools, need this project to finally get started. We cannot let this small group prohibit Amenia from moving forward towards a positive future.

I can see no negatives in this low density project of expensive homes. They new residents of these houses may prove insular but they will invariably add to business revenues and taxes while minimally drawing on town services.
Amenia has been at a stand still for years ,antique shops and sidewalk cafe are cute however they don't put food on the table for the struggling community members trying to raise families.
Living in Amenia and working in Poughkeepsie at a family owned hardware store we have already started to see the money from this project being spread across Dutchess County. THINK LOCAL FIRST!
Yes, I had been a resident of Amenia in the passed for over 5 years ...waiting for the Silo Ridge project to come through. Thus area needs the progess to support revenue and people need employment! This would be a great accomplishment to the area and needs to happen.
It's time that we look for jobs in our community, rather than elsewhere. Being a college student in our area it's hard to find jobs where you grew up. Let Sile Ridge change this.
I live in Dover Plains. We need and want more for our community development .
I worked at Taconic DDSO. After the cuts we were unemployed.

Although I am not a resident, I am a business owner and own a building in town. I wish folks would not try to stop a high-end development like this, when other towns are being overrun with large box stores like Walmart. Silo Ridge is a lovely development and will bring desperately needed funds and jobs into the area.
