I feel that Teignmouth should have some sort of public showers available. As myself being a surfer I am in the sea a lot in Teignmouth and would love to rinse off after being in the water. It's not just water users that would make use of the showers, it could benefit parents/tourists with sandy children. When visiting other resorts within Devon and Cornwall you will see most of them have some sort of shower facilities (indoor or out), I believe it's time to get some showers in Teignmouth.
I'm in discussion with Teignbridge District Council regarding the showers, I am looking to get as many signatures as possible so I can present this to the council.
So if you believe Teignmouth should have shower facilities please sign.

I have been hearing from so many of you who find the lack of basic rinsing facilities just as frustrating as I do after a long morning in the surf. These stories are exactly what I need to bring to the council meeting to show them how many people in our community actually want this change.

Seeing this much support for basic beach facilities proves I am not the only one tired of bringing half the shoreline home in my car. This momentum gives me actual leverage when I meet with the council to discuss these plans.

Visiting yachts would benefit from some kind of facility to shower. This would encourage more to stay and visit our lovely town, bringing in much needed support for the local economy.
I've thought for many years that Teignmouth would be enhanced by the provision of free public showers at two or three points along the sea front. I do occasionally use the shower in the toilets beneath the Beachcomber, but outdoor showers right by the beach would be far preferable.
Meadfoot beach has one, why not Teignmouth too? Teignmouth is much bigger and sandier, a shower facility would be a welcome addition.
Would be great to have a shower facility to wash off sandy children after a day on the beach.
I totally agree & perhaps some forward thinking person at Teignbridge District Council could contact Havianas and get them to install ( a sponsored) giant flip-flop shower like Fistral Beach have . Havianas increase brand awareness/ sell more flip-flops, Teignmouth have a cool

I'd like to be able to have a hot shower and get changed after swimming in the sea. I've had exposure several times this year because the sea hasn't warmed up due to rain.
