As a resident of Shohola Township I am dedicated to the conservation and preservation of our environment, the natural beauty that we enjoy throughout our rural countryside and the exceptional quality of the water in our watershed.
Accordingly, I implore the Shohola Township Planning Commission and Supervisors to preserve and protect our environment in their review and revision of Shohola’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinances (SALDO).
I am opposed to any SALDO revisions that will weaken the environmental design and open spaces concepts of Ordinances 60 and 61. I am vehemently opposed to changes or revisions to Shohola’s Zoning Ordinances that would facilitate natural gas drilling in our township.

Reaching this point in our movement feels like a heavy weight lifting off my shoulders despite the long struggle ahead. Seeing so many neighbors refuse to compromise on the protection of our land gives me the stamina to keep pushing against those who want to weaken our ordinances.

Keep the drilling out of our town. We moved here for the woods and the clean air not to live next to a fracking site.
Why mess with what works? Leave the environmental protections in place. Stop selling us out to big industry.
Too much overdevelopment already. leave the open spaces alone for the sake of our kids and the local wildlife.
Please stop these revisions. Shohola is beautiful just the way it is and we dont need more development ruining the landscape.
so tired of them trying to change the rules to suit developers. please keep our countryside rural!!
