Everyone complains to the Animal Controls and rescues about animal abuse and lack of justice, well this is why!! Animal Welfare Laws are poor, weak, lack definition and hold very little conviction and punishment in a court of law. Shelbyville Animal Control provided a revised version of the animal welfare ordinances to the Shelbyville City Council August 2020. We need to let our city and county officials know we demand stronger laws to protect our animals. Please join with us to raise awareness with strength in numbers.
