Anyone that walks along Seven Sisters Road in Tottenham, perhaps to or from the Tube station, will be aware of a LARGE group of sexually aggressive men who stand opposite Wicks, possibly touting for work. These men intimidate, use lewd gestures and make comments to every woman that walks past - even women that are accompanied by children. Indeed, school teachers I have spoken to have said that they have been harassed when accompanying groups of children to and from the Tube station; this makes it difficult to protect children and provides a terrible model to our young generation on the treatment of women. This is disgusting and can be frightening, but overall, is unacceptable. Please sign this petition if you feel that action should be taken to re-educate or remove these men and prevent sexual intimidation on our streets.

I will be forwarding this to local police and Haringey Council.

Totally. The amount of women (and young girls) that walk past, head down and intimidated is vile.

It shouldn't take a petition to make law enforcement handle this situation. I sincerely hope the individuals affected have already been to the police about this and are only making a petition because the law wouldn't do anything about it. On that note, if that has been done shame on the law enforcement in that city for not protecting the women and children from this.

The police are aware of them because they are primarily there touting for (illegal) work.

I should have to brace myself against the weather, not their vulgar looks and comments.

This has been a problem for too long and we need local police to stop turning a blind eye. Let's do something about it.

I have been harrassed when taking my class on school trips...totally unacceptable and very humiliating. Not a good example for primary school children...
