We urge BPG to bring back Crosby Hill’s overnight security guard from 4AM to 8AM, so our residents can feel safe again.

Crosby Hill residents are now dealing with real risks after the overnight guard was removed to save money. Packages are being stolen, vehicles are being vandalized or stolen, and people who are leaving for work, going to work, or walking their pets in the dark are left more exposed. That kind of uncertainty changes how people live their daily lives, and it should not be the cost of cutting corners.

This matters even more because safety concerns are already weighing on the wider area. Some reports show violent crime up in Wilmington 17% from last year. Whether someone is coming home late, heading out early, or simply trying to walk safely through the neighborhood, people deserve to feel protected.

We have communicated with BPG over the last month, and so far there has been no return of the guard. We are asking BPG to listen to residents, restore overnight security, and make a decision that puts safety first. This petition is meant to show that Crosby Hill families want real protection, not uncertainty.
