To the Balboa Woods HOA,

The unsecured open trash area at the rear of the alley of which we share, has now become a security risk for the residents of Cassa Balboa. The vagrants and transients that continue to visit your trash dumpsters on a daily basis, have now been trespassing on our property, even with our security cameras. Many of our residents have had confrontations with these vagrant trespassers, and all Cassa Balboa Residents agree that Balboa Woods HOA is responsible for this disruption to our security. Balboa Woods HOA has created a public nuisance by neglecting to do anything about your trash area. Our management company has contacted your management company several times about this public nuisance, only to be told that it is not a “priority of yours.” We find this response unacceptable and unneighborly, as we are now being put at a high security risk due to your negligence. The noise factor created by these vagrants is also disruptive to the serenity of our community.

The following signed names are members of the Cassa Balboa HOA that request Balboa Woods HOA to take responsibility to eliminate this problem you have created. We are requesting that you close off your trash area to the public by installing a gate, or simply moving your trash area inside your community.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Cassa Balboa HOA

November 3, 2017

I spent another sleepless night listening to the noise outside my window and watching people wander through our property on the security feed. It is infuriating to hear the board call this a low priority when our safety is being compromised every single day. We are currently drafting a formal letter to the management company to demand a response to these recurring security threats.

The momentum behind this is proof that we are tired of feeling unsafe in our own homes. It means everything to see our neighbors finally uniting to demand the basic peace and security we deserve.

I have had direct confrontations on more than one occasion with vagrant trespassers on pur property looking into garbage dumpsters for recycleables. It poses a danger to my neighbors and should be addressed post haste.

This has to change. Unsecured Rrash is causing problems for us at 7320 Balboa Blvd.

This public nuisance has gone on far too long and is now a detriment to the surrounding properties.
