The security of the parking garage has been an issue for years. A great idea was said to me by two different tenants.
'Add key fob only entry to interior garage access doors on the 2nd flr. and basement levels.'
Currently, anyone can gain access to the elevators, and then access the garage freely. This is how many break-ins occur (as witnessed on security cameras and by fellow tenants).
Our garage has seen numerous car break-ins and bike thefts. Burglars have entered with power electric saws to cut bike locks, shattered car windows, cut open convertible tops, had their garage fobs stolen and have had expensive equipment ripped off.
I was informed, if enough of us show support for this, we might be able to get this to happen.
So please show your support.
This survey will be presented to the HOA meeting on April 12, 2018. I am not a board member, just a concerned neighbor. My intentions are in kind.

I have been hearing more stories about broken glass in the garage this morning. Dealing with building management now to confirm they have received our list.

What a shame that the HOA has millions of dollars in the account and still hasn't been able to upgrade the security system in the building.
Wow, the 2nd level is supposed to be the most secure. However, many have told me their car parked on the 2nd Flr was broken into. One friend caught the thief in the act of slicing his convertible top open! Please encourage others to sign. Thank you!

Me too! I’ve had so many people get mad at me for not letting them sneak in behind me. Did you know, a car once did this that didn’t belong in the garage and he proceeded to crash through the S. Van Ness gate to get out. Please encourage others to sign this petition. Thank you!

In addition to the installing more fobs to the entry doors, please make sure that the doors latch. I have picked up magnets and metal objects that were intentionally placed on the door frame on the B Level that prevented the door from latching shut. I still have those two metal objects that I removed (on separate days) from the doors that propped them open.
