the city council just voted to reject the development proposal and keep the zoning as it is. i am honestly stunned but so relieved that our neighborhood stayed protected. thanks for backing this because we really pulled it off.

Final supporters
We the undersigned residents of Terravita Country Club oppose the proposed 78 unit development at the corner of Scottsdale and Dove Valley Roads. We oppose the project because we believe the number of proposed dwelling units per acre, 5.6 whereas Terravita is 1.7, is out of character with our community, as well as the other communities near the proposed development.
Therefore, we oppose the request to change the zoning to allow the building of this 78 unit development.

This development will disrupt the continuity of the natural beauty of our environment, community and overall neighborhood. The dumpsters will create a potential health hazard. High density units are out of character for our community and will lower property values.
This community is totally overbuilt for its surrounding neighborhoods. These are apartments, not single family homes. I strongly oppose the zone change. The zones are there for a purpose to keep the consistent. Thank you!
We moved to Teraavita 20 years ago and love the peace and quiet. A majority of our residence are now seniors like ourselves and do not want to fight a lot a traffic and conjestion in our senior years or even spoil the looks of the entire neighborhood
If I'd wanted to live in a high-density "urbanized" area, I'd have bought in downtown Scottsdale, mid-town, or even Grayhawk. The zoning is in place for a good reason, and the developer knew the zoning when he/it bought the parcel.
I am against the development of this project, and respectfully ask that the City of Scottsdale honor the rights and opinions of the tax paying land owners of North Scottsdale and Terravita.
This needs to be addressed immediately.
Future development should have to abide with existing density

Traffic is my major concern. I come out of the Terravita Dove Valley exit every day, and it is dangerous now. Having 500 more cars coming out of this proposed development and trying to turn left towards 101 will be very dangerous. Serious accidents will happen for sure.
