Our dress code has been a problem for years. By signing this petition you agree that the dress code for Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School should be revised. This revision is specific to the fingertip length rule for shorts as this rule does not explain an actual length and should be changed to a rule of inches that can be specifically measured to ensure fairness among students and their possible dress code violations.
Honestly, as long as all private parts are covered, pulling someone out of class for a "dress code violation" because their shoulders, backs, or legs are a little too visible is absurd. The distraction isn't in the clothing. The distraction is in pulling a student out of class for no good reason and wasting that student and the entire class's time.
