QC Development and owner Neil Parker are requesting the land be rezoned directly to the west of the current WaterCrest Landing subdivision along Woodsonia street to allow for the construction of several 4-story apartments totaling 698 rental units and related parking area.

This rezoning would also allow for access to this new complex via an extension of Woodsonia street to 83rd street to the north and Prairie Star Parkway to the south as well as directly through WaterCrest Landing via W. 89th St. and W. 89th Terrace (roundabout at Black Hoof Park).

These apartments will impact residential property values in the surrounding areas, greatly increase traffic, add parking issues and safety concerns for the residents of WaterCrest Landing and neighboring communities who currently enjoy Lake Lenexa, will increase noise/activity in the neighborhood and be a 4 story eyesore. Please help us oppose the rezoning that would allow for the construction of high density apartments and parking.

The picture above shows the location at the end of 89th Street (just west of Woodsonia) where the apartments are being proposed. Also note that the soil berm shown in this picture is temporary and will eventually be removed regardless of what is built across the street.

Sign this petition if you opposed the construction of a high-density 698 unit rental apartment complex west of 89th and Woodsonia!
