Woodside Homes has proposed building apartments on the east side of Stonehaven in Foxboro North. The North Salt Lake City Council must approve the proposal and allow Woodside to change the original building plans. Original building plans were to build town-homes. Sign this petition and tell the City Council NOT to approve the proposal and hold Woodside to the original plan! Reasons you should oppose the proposal and voice your opinion to the city are as follows: 1. Proposed apartment rents are between $800 and $1,200. These low rents will lower your property value (for that reason apartments are not built on the East side of Bountiful and East side of North Salt Lake). 2. If you choose to rent your town-home or home, your rent will compete with apartment rents. 3. New apartments will stretch for nearly a mile on Redwood Road combining with an already existing 220 unit apartment complex just south of Foxboro North. Imagine apartment buildings even half as big as the ones south of Foxboro North. 4. New apartments will block your view of the mountains. Probably not what you paid for when you bought your town-home or house. 5. In all likelihood, apartment tenants will use both their own facilities as well as the Foxboro Clubhouse. 6. Apartments will not be managed by Woodside. Good Landlord agreements will not guarantee good tenants. Especially with rents as low as they are. 7. Apartment tenants do not own their apartment. Unlike townhome and home owners, there is no vested interest in the area. 8. Town-home and home owners alike purchased in the area based on the original Woodside plan, not alternate proposals that help Woodside’s profitability.
