Today we celebrate the dedication and sacrifice by our lineworkers at Powell Valley Electric Cooperative! We would like to stop you in the street and say thank you, but due to the coronavirus, we are unable to thank you in person.
Even during the pandemic, you still work to keep our lights on. We know your family worries when you leave in bad weather; but day or night, no matter the weather, you are there for us. You endure dangerous conditions to restore our power and you miss holidays, birthdays, and your children’s school events to take care of us.
We cannot thank you enough for all you do! You are all Superheroes and restoring power is your superpower!

I have been reading your notes about the nights our crews spent working in the freezing rain and they are truly moving. My own brother is out there on those lines and knowing the community sees his hard work means everything to our family. We are putting together a plan to make sure every single word of thanks reaches the local office.

Seeing this response makes my heart full because I know how many late nights those crews spend away from their own families to keep our homes warm. It means the world to see our neighbors recognizing these workers for the heroes they truly are.

Special thanks to Junior, Shane, Jerry and all the past linemen I have had the opportunity to know. Don't forget Sandy who has been with PVEC since I can remember. Forest Hills Subdivision is a special place to all of them I am sure. :)
I'll never forget when you came to fix our blown-out transformer on Christmas weekend. Thank you for all those days--and nights--that you are out there!!!

From a wife of a lineman, I know a little about how much dedication it takes to be a lineman, I appreciate all that they do for us, all hours of the night and day, no matter the weather . God created each of us with special talents and he most certainly blessed the lineman with knowledge, patience, mental and physical stoutness and strong sense of responsibility. Thank God for my husband and our lineman
