Don’t forget about the essential workers!
The fact that we are home safe like we are being asked to, and there are essential workers that are potentially putting theirs and their families lives at risk by continuing to go out to work in this what is now an unsafe world, the amount of anxiety they hold, depression, and fear!! They are out in the public working to keep everything together still for us!!!! Nurses get a raise. But what about the construction workers, what about the people working in shipyards at the ports or even the people working for the railways. What about the correctional workers, What about grocery store employees, and gas station employees.....
Shout out and big props to the healthcare workers BUT without all the other essential workers, life as we know it would come to a halting stop for EVERYONE.
And if there are ANY health care workers out there that have been denied or given the run around about extra pay, they should be demanding it right now! Thankyou for all you do
I think ALL essential workers have earned and deserve some hazard pay or a bonus for keeping this country running.
Every single week the government is handing out money left right and centre like it’s going out of style the ONLY people who aren’t receiving ANYTHING are the essential workers!!

Reading through your stories about the conditions at your jobs is eye opening. I am currently compiling these experiences to send directly to the local representatives.

Exactly! ALL essential workers should be recognized with hazard pay or a bonus. We are in this together
As they say, “It takes a village”. I understand doctors and nurses are on “the front lines” but so are those that are keeping our community, neighbourhood and economy still going. They are putting themselves at more risk than those of us able to just stay at home. I strongly agree they deserve more recognition (and compensation) for the risk they have no choice to endure by walking into a workplace of unknown threats everyday during this crisis!!!

I agree what about the people who are working in the schools and taking care of the essential workers children.
