There are plans to build a bridge over the M1 onto the V11, this would create extra traffic onto the already busy V11 and excess noise and pollution that would affect the village. The bridge looks like it would go from the other side of the M1 to the V11 near the paddock at the bottom of Aldrich drive.
We are also concerned that such a bridge would cause congestion and result in the village being used as a "short cut" more than it already is during rush hour. especially as the Newport Pagnell roundabout at the top of V11 is already frequently snarled up without additional traffic.

I have been reviewing the recent traffic impact reports to prepare a formal grievance for the local council. The feedback regarding the potential for increased shortcutting through our village confirms that this is a widespread concern for all residents.

I don't dispute the need for further infrastructure to facilitate expansion but to do so at a major cost to a quiet, residential area with the historic village and the Hospice is madness. Possible disadvantages to local residents need to take a high priority in the proposals and a bridge and road developments with less detrimental impact need to be thought through.
We have more than enough of our fair share of traffic, noise and pollution and this is totally unnecessary. Milton Keynes seems to be already inundated with too many lorries with their empty trailers of a nighttime trundly through at all hours. Give us some peace please!
This would increase traffic to unreasonable proportions onto a residential road. From a highways perspective it would increase risk to road users and residents including equine
This bridge will cause more noise more pollution and with residents of Willen already having problems turning into and out of Carlton Gate because of the speeding traffic we already have what hope do they stand with even more.
Infrastructure first before more houses or a bridge (we know not exactly where). Can the sewage works cope with more houses? Already hard to get out of Millington Gate in rush hour.
It will not solve any problem but add more traffic and noise to Willen.
Looks like Milton Keynes generally and Willen area in particular being gradually ruined. The lake area gives such an ambience of peace and quiet and joie de vivre, all to be spoiled by ever increasing traffic in the area.

It is already difficult and dangerous to get out of Willen between 4 and 6 o'clock on any week day due to excessive traffic on the grid roads around Willen. The council should be looking at ways to reduce this, not ways of adding to the problem.
