Looks like Milton Keynes generally and Willen area in particular being gradually ruined. The lake area gives such an ambience of peace and quiet and joie de vivre, all to be spoiled by ever increasing traffic in the area.

It is already difficult and dangerous to get out of Willen between 4 and 6 o'clock on any week day due to excessive traffic on the grid roads around Willen. The council should be looking at ways to reduce this, not ways of adding to the problem.

The traffic on v11 is already causing excessive noise to people living in close vicinity and there have been three road traffic accidents, in last 2 months, on the dansteed way (H4) leading to V11 ..we don't want more serious incident in future ..

I don't dispute the need for further infrastructure to facilitate expansion but to do so at a major cost to a quiet, residential area with the historic village and the Hospice is madness. Possible disadvantages to local residents need to take a high priority in the proposals and a bridge and road developments with less detrimental impact need to be thought through.

No one argues that the UK is in dire need of additional housing but MK Council should demonstrate that it firmly understands the cost to existing residents of additional traffic on over-burdened roads. The situation on the V11 and H4 is currently extremely alarming during rush hours causing rat-run driving through quiet roads in Willen and Willen Park. In Aldrich Drive, Willen as many as 180 cars have been counted passing from Millington Gate to Carleton Gate to simply advance a few yards along H4. The pollution and noise is already disturbing. It would be democrate if Council addressed local residents instead of one Councillor calling a meeting to guage opinion on a scheme for which he is clearly in favour. Acknowledgement of local concerns would be a first step to negotiate a way forward rather than inciting alarm and despondency ahead of the planning approval/rejection. Come on MK Council; talk to your people.

We have more than enough of our fair share of traffic, noise and pollution and this is totally unnecessary. Milton Keynes seems to be already inundated with too many lorries with their empty trailers of a nighttime trundly through at all hours. Give us some peace please!
