The council denied the re-zoning request and our rural home is safe for now. I am overwhelmed by the result and grateful that you stood with me to protect the character of Summerfield. We will stay vigilant to ensure future proposals respect the vision we have for this town.

We are against the Planned Development/re-zoning request. We are petitioning in writing that we do not want this to pass with the Re-zoning board or with the Summerfield Town Council. We moved to Summerfield for the small town, rural feel and we believe this PD/Re-zoning will reduce our quality of life NOT enhance it. We will vote out any council member who does not listen and respect our opinions, the citizens of Summerfield and the majority input. We want elected officials who will listen to what we want for our town and who will not bend to a handful of developers who want to profit financially at the forever expense of the citizens of Summerfield. We believe there are other options (such as cleaning up and developing eyesores such as the old Food Lion/Golden Antiques Shopping Center on HWY220) that will enhance Summerfield. Please do not ignore our deep felt wishes to maintain the rural integrity of our beautiful town.

My family moved to Summerfield for the quiet life that is now under threat by these developers. We need to reach 250 signatures to show the town council that our community will not be ignored, so please send this link to your neighbors right now.

Seeing the count climb toward one hundred shows that our neighbors refuse to let Summerfield be lost to unchecked development. We need a final surge to hit this milestone before we bring these names to the council. Please post this link to your neighborhood groups right now to show them we are serious about protecting our town.

Bad idea, will urbanize the town and increase the town government/budget/higher taxes with less representation. Vote No or be Voted Out is what I'm hearing about this. Keep Summerfield Rural.

Development as proposed would be a disaster to our well water, traffic patterns, and overall quality of life. The fact that a developer who doesn't even live in this area yet will benefit financially from ruining the quality of our lives/the area is preposterous.

I just moved to Summerfield last year, specifically for its rural feel, lack of densely populated cookie cutter neighborhoods, and quietness. This PD rezoning would take away all of those great things about Summerfield.

I urge the council to deny this request. It would be a travesty to go forward in the absence of adequate studies regarding impact on Summerfield schools (we already have kids attending class in trailers for Gods sake), water capacity plus traffic issues.

Please vote no! Couch does not care about anyone but his pocketbook! Look out for home investments, not him lining his pockets. Our water, schools, roads etc are at stake. The last meeting was a joke with all his employees speaking out as pro! A few don't even have Summerfield addresses!

No more empire building. Pay attention to the available property on 220. The old antique mall is sitting empty now for months. Look at community eyesores and enforce previously enacted ordinances.

We moved to Summerfield 2 years ago because it was a town with open spaces. PD is wrong for our town for many reasons. Vote no

Watch out for Ken D Miller of Summerfield; he has ruined our neighborhood on Lake Brandt and Trosper Road. Building lots of commercial that will create a traffic nightmare and destroying our neighborhood environment! We won the first round against him. Lost the second round. He has plenty of $$$ to throw at getting what he wants.
