The management finally agreed to the four hours of free parking and staff passes. I am genuinely stunned that our small effort led to this outcome and truly believe this victory belongs to each of you.
Petition Summary: There are many concerns about the excessive cost of parking in the DFO Homemaker Centre in Homebush. We are requesting 4 hours free parking for customers and free all day parking for retail staff. Please help us to make a difference!
Action: We the undersigned urge management to act now! We urge Strathfield Council to intervene and resolve this situation for the community.
I have been reading through all the messages you are sending about the parking costs and I am truly humbled by the passion here. This is entirely your movement and I am just doing my best to keep up with the momentum you created.

I honestly never thought this would reach one hundred signatures when I started it. It is humbling to see that so many of you feel the exact same way I do about these parking costs. This progress belongs entirely to all of you.

2 hrs free parking is not enough time to park and shop effectively and stop for refreshments. I refuse to pay to shop in any centre and leave before the free parking limit expires. The retailers and therefore the centre ultimately lose out in lost revenue.

Why we need to pay parking if there is no train or bus station near DFO, just rip off our money. Should shopping mall provide parking to custimer and staff?

This Boxing Day I spend around $250 on dfo Home bush. I felt very sad when I have to pay $12 extra when I was done shopping.

It tooled us 30 minutes to get in and find a parking lot then more than that just to get out. We were late 10 minutes then they made us pay. Sorry, we refused to pay and they had to accept that.

It is unreasonable that we should have to pay an extra $20 for a staff card and then pay $5 every time we enter the car park; especially when customers take our car spots on busy days!

As a full time worker I am expected to pay $25 a week + $20 for a staff parking card. This is unreasonable a weeks worth of parking is higher than my hourly rate.
