The Noyac Civic Council represents our community regarding quality of life issues. Two years ago, NCC and Noyac residents fought a Cell Tower being built in our back yard. Now, SBA Communications is planning to install a 120 ft 5G tower in a residential neighborhood literally in people's backyards and this impacts our quality of life for residents who live on Wildwood Rd, Club Lane, Millstone Rd, Kelly's Path and Noyac Path - many with young children. This is illegal and we are fighting this location. The Town has other non-residential properties that are better suited for a cell tower. In 2018 a cell tower proposal was defeated when residents protested, signed petitions, spoke at Town meetings, and wrote letters to the newspapers. The NCC asked the Town to construct the proposed cell tower at the Town’s Recycling property on Major’s Path instead, as this location would serve a larger number of households in dead zones, including Noyac. The zoning there would also allow the Cell Tower to be constructed. Why would Town Supervisor Schneiderman think that “maybe now people are warming up to this idea”?

Click on these articles - they tell the story of how serious this is. And, it is wrong - say NO to the cell tower and sign this petition! Thank you.
