I am opposed to the installation of a 140' cell phone tower and 50' by 50' equipment corral at Kaltenborn Commons located at the intersection of Old Field Road and Quaker Path in the Village of Old Field. This obtrusive structure will destroy the aesthetic beauty of the Village gateway, eliminate one of the Village's only two parks for public enjoyment and severely impact the property values of all those living in proximity to the structures.

I really thought this might just be me yelling into the void about that massive eyesore they want to dump at the entrance to town. Seeing all of you jump on board has me feeling so much better about our chances because honestly it feels like the momentum is finally shifting in our favor.

I am opposed to the 130 ft tower and the 2500 sq ft of electronic gadgetry at its base, because it's industrial appearance is completely inconsistent with the surrounding community. It will irrevocably damage the value of surrounding homes, and may jeopardize the health of those who live nearby.
This is how Old Field is described on the website, “No stoplights, no commercial businesses, just beautiful tree-lined roads and large private lots create a serene and comforting community“. A cell tower has no business being placed in this town. Vote no to the tower! Save Old Field and it’s park!
We get very poor cell service at our house but I don’t think that this is the best solution to the problem.
This gracious gift in 1950 from Hans von Kaltenborn for a needed community park must be preserved!
It is shameful that the village board would attempt yet again to allow a cell tower in Old Field, despite community opposition the last time and now. The board members are disregarding the negative impacts on the households in close proximity to Kaltenborn Commons, as well as the negative effects on the community as a whole.
No to cell tower and equipment corral. This is not the proper use of the park property.

The cell tower will damage the community at all level: environmental, health and aesthetic, and real estate value. With other technical solution available for cell phones and a negligible tax benefit, it is impossible to understand the actual motivation of our officials.
