Petition to Protect Residential Neighborhood and Domestic and Wildlife Animals

We hereby sign this petition to oppose the application submitted by Eco-Site, Inc. and T-Mobile Northeast, LLC. Docket No. 467 is an application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need for the construction, maintenance, and operation of a telecommunications facility located at the residential neighborhood at 248 Hall Hill Road, Somers, CT.

Whereas, we object to the notion that the potential health risks caused by the Electro Magnetic Frequencies (EMF) that radiate from Cell towers are outweighed by the supposed public need.

Whereas, a public desire does not equal a public need in a residential neighborhood.

the applicant admits that there are ‘adverse environmental effects that would result from the construction, operation and maintenance’ of the Cell tower in a residential neighborhood.

Whereas, we have the right to protect ourselves, family, friends and neighbors against the dangers of a Cell Tower collapse and to fight against having the installation of a Cell Tower which would adversely affect the character or aesthetics of our neighborhood.

Whereas, we have the right to defeat the carriers efforts to install a Cell Tower near our respective homes.

Whereas, this Cell Tower could set a precedent with future Cell Towers being installed at a blistering pace storming throughout our residential neighborhoods throughout Somers.

I, the undersigned, do not agree that the public need for this facility outweighs the adverse environmental effects that would result from this project, at the residential neighborhood at 248 Hall Hill Road, Somers, CT.

No way put some where else. They only want it here because the previous place was denied. What about the pond in the back and wildlife ???? I am going to lose My wonderful neighbors.

Petitions don't do much. If you really care show up at town hall during planning and zoning mneetings to petition. That's what will make a difference. It'll be an eye sore and harmful to humans and wildlife. I'm against it for sure!

I know that there are more appropriate places to put this tower. I also know other interested parties have properties not as close to family homes.

This is an eye sore and will do nothing but bring poor property value and a disturbance to th me neighborhood.

As it stands, cell towers are being removed from locations where there are schools! The Hall Hill location may set a precedent to allow cell towers in other residential neighborhoods. The locations that a cell tower could be placed and assist a charity include: 4 town fairgrounds &/or KofC acreage! The Hall Hill location has a young family. This family has a 2 year old and a child on the way.

I absolutely do not want this Cell Tower towering over my backyard. We don't know the health hazards it may bring to our immediate family and to the wild life surrounding us - let alone the ugly view and bringing down the value of our property.
