York County Virginia Board Of Supervisors is currently attempting to rezone lots in quiet residential areas to hold businesses. These will currently be group homes that will hold the mentally ill. The company running them has stated if their funding changes they could be used to hold people with drug addictions. They are staffed business facilities. With transport vehicles, staff and family coming in and out all day and night. The residents will be free to wonder the streets if they want. We need to keep our neighborhoods residential and our kids safe. This could happen to YOU! Whatever you see when you walk our your door could be rezoned into business. Once this passes they will not be able to discriminate between this neighborhood and your neighborhood. Help us protect York County. Our kids should feel free to go outside and play without worry.
