I have been in contact with several local church leaders to gauge their interest in a collaborative takeover of the Edinburgh shop. While these discussions are still in the early stages, the level of concern for this asset remains high. I will continue to work behind the scenes to secure a future for this vital space.

The momentum behind this effort clearly demonstrates how much the public values our local bookstore as a resource for the community. This collective enthusiasm provides the necessary leverage to begin formal discussions regarding the future of the shop.

PLEASE DONT CLOSE EDINBURGH. It is the only place in the city to find these books.
This shop has been a part of the community for years. Really hope they can find a way to stay open.
Total shame. Everything is going online and disappearing from our streets.
Keep it open. Local churches really need to step up and help out here.
We need this place. So many memories of picking up gifts here. Dont let it disappear.

So sad to hear this news. The staff have always been so helpful and kind. Such a loss for Edinburgh.
