This petition is created by the Vocal Arts Students of the California State University Los Angeles as a means of coordinating a protest of the deletion of the Spring 2009 Opera. We are dedicated as a Student Organization to not only overturn the decision made by the Dean of the Music Department but mostly to protect the current Opera Program at CSULA. With this petition we vow to protect our right as performers and as opera lovers to having a continued, vibrant Opera Program at CSULA. This petition is open to all persons who have enjoyed the Opera Program at CSULA. We encourage any and all people to join us in our fight to overturn the decision to cancel the opera. This includes but is not limited to everyone who has participated, seen, or enjoyed the CSULA Opera Program, including current CSULA students, alumni, and parents. Through this petition we hope to show that the support and passion for the CSULA Opera Program is far to great for anyone to shut it down!!! Sign this petition RIGHT AWAY, and show YOUR support and passion for the CSULA Opera Program!
